Bury expansion for Silverdale Solicitors
Silverdale Solicitors have expanded their legal expertise with the opening of a new practice in Bury.
Despite the current economic climate, Silverdale have experienced year-on-year growth since they were founded in 2006. This consistent growth, along with a number of changes in the legal sector, has resulted in the need to expand the business beyond its city centre remit.
The Partners identified Bury as a prime location to attract new business due to the strong client base they already have in the town. Senior Partner, Mr Jawad Amin said, “Our staff have worked hard over the years and our expansion into Bury shows the progress that we have made. We want to develop relationships with our existing clients in the area, as well as build new ones. We look forward to working within our new local community to carry on our tradition of helping and assisting those in need, as part of our corporate responsibility.”
Taking up residency at the Old Blue Bell pub building on Bell Lane, Silverdale have refurbished and updated the interior of the building, whilst being careful to retain traditional features and preserving and maintaining the history of the exterior. “We have invested heavily in our new office in order to make the client experience even more pleasant”, explains Mr Amin.
The investment continues with the employment of staff from in and around the Bury area. The firm has been boosted by the recent appointment of specialist civil and commercial litigator. Mr Grahame Henry, who has previously worked in Bury and has over 20 years experience. Mr Rafique Malik, a former Mayor of Burnley, has come on board with 30 years experience as an immigration law consultant. Solicitors Mr John Sherratt and Mr Kashaf Bhatti have been added to the property team recently and experienced legal secretary Ms Lizzie Salt also joins the team, along with new personal injury specialist Ms Maria Hameed. Ms Alexa Gorse, Head of Personal Injury at the Manchester office will also be moving to the Bury site.
Together the new members of staff bring with them more than 80 years experience.
“Supporting the local economy and bringing jobs and investment to the area is a top priority for us”, continues Mr Amin. “We have a history of supporting the local community which is demonstrated by the work we do in Manchester, where we support youth projects, local schools and sports clubs and we look forward to furthering this relationship with the communities of Bury.”
