Ajid Miah was admitted as a solicitor in September 2015. He heads the Immigration and Asylum team at Manchester office.  He has a particular skill in the Immigration and Asylum Chamber where he frequently presents appeals in both the First tier and the Upper tribunal.  Ajid is well experienced in obtaining High Court injunctions and other forms of interim relief for those who require urgent legal assistance. He successfully challenges decisions by way of judicial review.

Ajid has extensive experience across the range of immigration, asylum and nationality work, at various levels, and represents clients from around the world.  He regularly provides solutions to high net worth individuals looking to invest in the United Kingdom, including individuals from Middle East, China and the Indian sub-continent.

Family Law

With his extensive understanding of immigration issues and with his language skill, speaking fluentBengali (Sylheti) and basic Hindi and Urdu Ajid assists in the family and property departments. Ajid supports the general development of the Family Law Department by working collaboratively with colleagues to provide a full service offering to family clients.

Ajid handles a purely privately funded caseload of private law work including Divorce, Finances, Separation, Civil Partnerships, Cohabitation Dispute and Contact.

Domestic and Commercial Property Law

Ajid manages a varied workload including arranging contracts, processing transfers, mortgages and leases and drawing up of novel documentation while providing advice on the technical content of the documents and their financial implications.

He is based at the main office of the firm in Cheetham Hill, Manchester but is also available to see clients at the Bury Office.
