Conveyancing work types John has undertaken include:-

Flat and Housing development sales under the 1980 Right to Buy legislation.

The surrender of leases on a small development of flats, the perfecting of the Landlords title including identifying and buying in 3 additional parcels of land which had been overlooked previously (since 1967!!) and then granting new leases with appropriate rights to the existing owners.

Sales and purchases of several types of business including:-

Factories. Mills. Hotels and Guest Houses Shops Post Offices Hot food take aways. Garage and motor repair business. Dental practices.

Many of the above involved not only the sale of the business but also the granting of a lease over the premises being sold occasionally with the lease including an option to purchase the freehold.

Lease renewals in respect of business premises and several offices forming part of office blocks.

Purchase of various parcels of land on behalf of joint purchases the land then being sub-divided or a company being set up to purchase and the clients becoming share holders.

Sales of commercial premises at auction including Factory Units and Churches.

Advising Baptist church on the leasing off of part of their premises to a Charity for an Advise Centre.

General advise on various matters to the northern branch of the Baptist Union.

Incorporating SDLT tax planning schemes in conveyancing transactions by way of sub sale agreements.

Volume re-mortgage matters including domestic and commercial matters and registration of charges both at Companies House as well as the Land Registry.

Matrimonial conveyancing.

Equity release matters.
